Empowering questions

Asking yourself empowering questions is a nice way to direct your focus towards possibilities and action.

Try some of these…

What do I really want my life to be about?

What was I really thinking about just now?

What can I feel grateful about today?

What beauty can I notice today, perhaps something I never really noticed before?

What do I want the meaning and purpose of my life to be?

What can I do right this second that will change who and what I am one year from now; 5 years from now?

What can I do or say right now to begin to fix this situation?

What can I do for someone today that will help them now?

How good am I going to feel when I (reach some outcome)?

What would (name of a confident person) think about this?

What would they do in this situation?

What could I and should I be absolutely certain about?

How might (insert name) interpret this situation?

What what I want my life to look like in 10 years time?

What’s one thing I’ve been putting off, that if I did it, I would feel the weight of the world lifted from me?

What can I notice right now that makes me smile?

What is really great or could be great about today?

What’s the simplest solution?

Food for thought...

This saying rather nicely sums up the philosophy behind my psychological coaching work and underpins why I choose to use the NLP methodology. I am a firm believer in teaching someone how to do something for themselves - it builds self-reliance and empowers them in the long-term. ~ Naomi
